Our case studies illustrate the combination of ways in which clients use Alpine Specialist's wide range of services.
Client A
Our brief: to assist Client A in buying
a property in Switzerland.
The outcome: Client A bought a chalet in
Verbier and now uses Alpine Specialist for all
his dealings in Switzerland.
We advised Client A that Verbier best suited his
criteria and circumstances. He purchased an off-plan
development which we found for him. We also handled
the entire property purchase assisting Client
A in choosing a notary and a bank, and deciding
which materials would make his upmarket apartment
appeal to his family and a rental market.
Client B
Our brief: to advise Client B on the
most suitable ski resorts for his property purchase.
The outcome: Client B bought a new build
private ski apartment, (not advertised on the
open market) that we found for him. He used Alpine
Specialist's search services and purchase advice,
and appointed us as project managers for the interior
design and furnishing of his apartment.
Client B was frustrated by bad advice and fruitless
searches for property in the French and Swiss
Alps. We advised him on the most suitable ski
resorts for his criteria. We then pro-actively
searched and inspected property in the locations
on his short list and accompanied his family on
further viewings. Client B relied on Alpine Specialist
to co-ordinate the property purchase process:
we liaised with all parties involved and translated
all relevant information. As project managers
for the furnishing and decoration of the apartment
we sourced local professionals and materials at
appropriate prices.
Client C
Our brief: to find a property to buy
in the ski resort Client C always visited for
his winter holiday.
The outcome: we identified ski properties
that suited his needs and gave him a better financial
investment.
Client C contacted us after seeing an advert for
Alpine Specialist in the UK press. On his instruction
we researched the relative values of the chalets
and apartments he had already viewed as well as
pro-actively searching for other available properties.
We presented Client C with a short list of potential
opportunities, including a winter chalet that
was not available on the open market.
Client D
Our brief: to find a smaller property
for sale in the same Swiss ski resort as Client
D's current winter home.
The outcome: Client D purchased a re-sale
property using our experience to guide him through
a particularly complex purchase process.
Using our network of resort-based contacts Alpine
Specialist drew up a shortlist of the Swiss chalets
and apartments for sale and accompanied Client
D to view them. We negotiated the sale price of
the re-sale apartment he decided to buy. The structure
of his purchase was particularly complicated as
it involved staggered payments, and occupancy
and ownership were not simultaneous. We provided
Client D with translations and impartial advice
and liaised with all parties on his behalf throughout.
Client E
Our brief: to help Client E realize the
value of his French property without selling it.
The outcome: an improved ROI for the client
through property renovation.
Client E has owned a winter chalet in a French
ski resort for several years. As project managers
Alpine Specialist oversaw a renovation of the
property acting as the sole point of contact between
all suppliers and professionals. We also secured
long-term rental partners. We are currently working
to obtain the relevant authority to sell some
of the land with permission to build another chalet
on it.
